My Short Batman V Superman Reviewish Thingy

I've mentioned this before, but opinions on Zack Snyder films run either hot or cold. Rarely is there a middle ground. The best thing to do when going to one of his films (or any movie, really) is to go in there completely blank. No opinions one way or the other. I learned that after watching the dumpster fire known as Sucker Punch (though I don't know if having no expectations would've helped that one).

That being said: I really enjoyed Batman V Superman. The casting was better than I expected, with Eisenberg's Luthor coming across as a much darker, more socially awkward version of Hackman's portrayal (not the first time movies have done this. Compare Nicholson's Joker to Romero's) and Affleck bringing a raw intensity to the role of Batman. Yes, <Spoiler Alert>,
Batman does kill a few people in this, but honestly he isn't any more brutal than Keaton, whose Batman shot and/or blew up several henchmen as well as burning one with the Batmobile's jet engine. Cavill, Adams, Gadot, Fishburne, Irons, and Lane were also fantastic.

Anyway, maybe it isn't a popular point of view on this flick, but it's mine. Go judge it for yourself (hell, if you really aren't sure but still want to see it, Cinemark does $5 movies on Tuesdays, so that's always an option. Also, that's not a paid endorsement or anything, I just really like Cinemark). As for me, I feel like I got my money's worth out of it :)

Till Next Time, Space Monkeys!
