You can stop, guys. We live in the age of the Internet, where every race and religion can have its own say. We don't need droves of white people standing up for the oppressed at every turn. In fact, I'll let you in on a little secret: Sometimes you go too far with things you find offensive on the behalf of others.
For example, I was in radio class sometime ago and we made a promo for station with one of us doing an impersonation of Marlon Brando's character from the Godfather saying, "You're listening to <insert radio station here>. Now keep listening or I'll make you an offer you can't refuse." (kinda corny, but we thought it was fun) After it aired, we got one call from some lady saying, "It makes it sound like all Italians are in the Mafia! You need to take it off the air", and next thing you know we knew it was gone. My Italian-American classmate just looked at me in disbelief. He wasn't offended. It wasn't meant to be offensive, and yet crusading white people (or person in this case) just wouldn't stand for it!
So, to summarize, while it is good that you're looking out for your fellow man, don't you think it might be slightly racist to believe that only you, a white person, can stand up to these "social injustices"? Its 2014, you don't have to be the Vanguard of Decency™. On the flip side, you shouldn't let people use hate speech unchallenged either. Find the middle ground. Think to yourself, "Is this really offensive to others, or am I just overreacting?" Please, just remember that and try and cool your jets.
Sincerely, A White Person
P.S. ...wait a sec, I'm white too! Does that negate my whole argument?
...
Nah!
Till Next Time, Space Monkeys!
